Jimmy Carl Black quotet: "We played a show with Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band at the Aquarius Theater in Hollywood and that was the only time that we ever played with them on the same bill. The opening act for that concert was Jethro Tull who were on their first tour of the States. Lowell was in the band and I think Buzz was too. The Magic Band had just finished the recordings for Trout Mask Replica and I couldn`t believe what those guys were playing, they just blew me away. I thought it would be impossible to follow them, and I know that Frank was really impressed with them so we had to really play our asses off that night."
